Amy Adams Cast as Lois Lane in 'Superman' Reboot

Amy Adams is having quite the year: She's a new mom, was nominated for an Oscar for The Fighter, and now she's landed the role of Lois Lane in the upcoming Superman reboot!

Director Zach Synder said about the choice (via Us magazine) "There was a big, giant search for Lois. It was obviously a really important role. We did a lot of auditioning but we had this meeting with Amy Adams and after that I just felt she was perfect for it."

Synder hasn't revealed much about the plot of his upcoming flick, but he did say the role of Lois Lane will be a "linchpin" in the storyline......
