June 13, 2011 Jeanne Bice, made famous for her Quacker Factory show on QVC, died Friday at the age of 71.
Bice, who lived in Boca Raton, first appeared on QVC on Feb. 4, 1995, debuting her line of appliqued clothes and her now-famous “Quack” greeting. Her entire line of clothes sold out in an unprecedented few minutes of air time, making her in instant hit and one of the most beloved personalities on QVC.
Her loyal fan base tuned in not only to buy her colorful, sequined sweaters and jeans, but to hear her home-spun stories. The Wisconsin native turned her Quacker Factory into a multi-million-dollar business.
